Quake Movies |
 |
Quake movies were a first. No other game had produced the phenomena.
It started off with just basic Quake demos, but gradually people started adding dialog, sounds
and cinematic effects. Machinima
was born. From humble 2-3mins movies, things eventually climaxed with 3 hour epics that pushed
the medium to it's limit. The Quake1 movie scene is now dead, with budding movie makers moving
to move advanced games engines. Their legacy is some pretty cool Quake movies.
I'm not going to review the 100 odd Quake movies that are still knocking about. It's been done
efficiently by the Quake Movie dedicated sites below.
| The Cineplex |
Over 100 fully reviewed Quake movies. No longer updated, but still working. Links seem fine, which is the main thing. |
| Machinima.Com |
The central site for all things Machinima. 20 Quake1 movies hosted. Worth a visit. Still very active. |
| Quake Movie Library -- DELETED |
