Latest Quake Bible Updates

Wednesday, June 3, 1998

Sorry guys for the lack of updates over the past week and a half. If you haven't heard, the E3 convention was held last week in Atlanta, Georgia. I spent most of last week there, and most of this week recovering. Gawd was that a lot of fun! Thankfully, I think I am fully recovered now, so be expecting daily updates once again. :)

I've been putting more effort into updating the Quake II Bible stuff because I've received a lot more emails about it. However, Part I of the DM4 strategy is still scheduled to be up by tonight, although I'm not sure if I can get the graphics ready to accompany the text done by tonight also.

The DM4 Strategy guide part I should be up later on today. Just letting y'all know.

Just a reminder: If there's anything you guys would like to see, such a strategy guide on a certain level, weapons tactics, and/or anything else, please let me know by emailing me at: thresh@gamersx.com.

I think it's about time I added this section. I'm not sure how I left it out in the first place. Here's How to do a double teleport.

I've also made a minor correction in the DM2 strategy guide in reference to Shooting the RA Hole button and how Quake physics work. I was under the impression that the reason the button wouldn't activate when shooting at the wall was because it was contained within the sphere of the blast radius, which is false. In actuality, anything within a the blast radius that is in the direct line of sight from the impact point is damaged. And because the RA Hole switch is behind the face of the wall, it does not get activated when you shoot at the face. Thanks for correcting me, Mephistopheles.

DM2 Strategies Part II is up here. Yes, I know, this section is long overdue. It was actually written a while ago, but it was a little late in being put up on the site. Sorry… :)

I just finished writing the Introduction to DM4, which covers the basics, such as: Items available, respawn points, important areas, camping spots, and the analysis of the level. That should be up in a couple days.
