Quad Damage
Quad damage is exactly what it means… it makes everything four times stronger. No matter what weapon you're using, from the axe to the lightning gun, anyone you hit when you have "the quad" will be on the receiving end of some serious damage, oftentimes deadly. Imagine having four times the damage to anything you shoot. That's some major hurt you are dealing with!

Ah, Quad. Nothing is more valuable!

    Advantages of Quad

Having the quad makes you the most formidable of enemies. The super nail and the lightning gun are the weapons of choice for people who don't feel 100% comfortable using rockets when you have quad. The reason is because the blast radius also does 4 times more damage, thus the chances of blowing yourself up are a lot higher. The super nail gun inflicts some major damage by itself and with the addition of quad, it can mow down several opponents in a matter of seconds. The lightning gun is also a deadly weapon with quad. It is the strongest weapon in the game, and can utterly demolish countless enemies with one fell swoop. An enemy without armor will be gibbed instantaneously.

    Top Seven Quad Do's

You are the center of attention.
Be aware that when you have quad, you will be the center of attention. Don't get me wrong, people will be running from you as fast as they can, but there are also people who will be gunning for you specifically. Stay on your toes.

    You are not invincible.
A lot of people seem to think they are invincible when they have quad. This is obviously not the case. Do not walk around as if you can't die, because you sure as heck can. Instead, be even more cautious than you normally would, as the quad glow is like a neon sign telling people where you are. Yes, most likely it will only take one rocket to kill your opponent, but if you are bounced by an opponent's rocket, you may blow yourself up against a wall.

    Be careful of yourself
Hurting yourself with a rocket is not uncommon; be it against a wall, the floor, the ceiling, or an opponent. When you have quad, these little "knocks" will cost you your life. Be extra careful when you are shooting rockets. If an enemy is too close, switch to a non-blast radius weapon, preferably a super nail or lightning gun. If an opponent is charging at you, do not fire at him or at the ground in front of him. Instead, shoot the ground next to him or a wall close-by. More often than not, if you shoot at him, you will blow both you and your enemy up.

You want to get the first shot off
That may seem blatantly obvious, but it is even more important to do so when you have quad. If you can get the first shot off, you will, at the very least, make him panic… if you didn't kill him with the shot already.

Do not shoot as soon as you round a corner
When going around corners, be cautious of firing rockets too quickly. If you try to shoot a rocket quickly around a corner, sometimes your opponent will have fired a rocket first (he saw your glow). His rocket will hit you and bounce you off somewhere. If you had planned on firing the rocket as soon as you rounded the corner, you may find yourself facing a wall as you were hitting the fire button, thus blowing yourself up. So, be careful. The safest bet would be to have the lightning gun ready instead. When your opponent knocks you into the air, you can hold down the fire button and hopefully be able to slice him up while in mid air. Sometimes, another player may be running around the corner at the same time, thus if you shot quickly around the corner, you may blow the both of you up. Sometimes you may want to shoot quickly around the corner, especially if you're pretty sure where he is standing…but in most cases, being cautious is better than embarrassing yourself by shooting a rocket into the wall.

Shoot ceilings, walls, the ground, or anything close to your opponent
When you have quad, you can afford to miss by a bigger margin, yet still be able to kill or hurt your opponent. If your opponent is camping on a platform above you, shoot the ceiling above him. You will be surprised how much damage shooting the ceiling can do, especially with quad. Or, if he is standing next to a wall or pillar, shoot the pillar. This will make things easier for you if you have trouble shooting ground, or don't want to risk shooting too low and hurting yourself. One thing you can do when someone is real close to you is, shoot a wall behind and to the side of them - the blast radius will blow him up, but will leave you unharmed.

    Don't quad rocket jump
    For obvious reasons… :)
